Patrick Gilbert

Patrick Gilbert is the author of Join or Die: Digital Advertising in the Age of Automation and the co-host of the “How To Hide a Dead Body” digital marketing podcastHe was listed among the “Top 50 Most Influential PPC Experts of 2020” by PPC Hero and a “Top 10 Thought Leader on PPC Machine Learning” by Goodfirms.co.

Patrick has received international recognition from Google for his thought-leadership on automation and agency management, having led agency training sessions at Google’s headquarters in both NYC and London, and delivered a keynote speech at the Premier Partner Awards in Dublin in 2019.

He is currently the COO at AdVenture Media Group, a digital advertising agency with offices in New York, Philadelphia, and South Florida. Their client roster includes Forbes, Sennheiser, Slinger Bag, and Sports Illustrated. He grew up in Long Island, NY, and studied marketing at Penn State University.

Becky Hopkin

Becky Hopkin is Owner & Managing Director of Digital Gearbox, a specialist pay per click (PPC) agency based near Oxford, England. They harness online advertising tools such as Google Search, Shopping & Display, Facebook, Instagram and Bing Ads to drive high-quality traffic and game-changing leads and sales for a wide variety of businesses.

Their mission is to ensure the goals of their customers are being met, if not exceeded, through the implementation of their tried and tested PPC strategies. They exist to deliver results that busy business owners and marketing managers simply don’t have the time or knowledge to achieve. They strive to work collaboratively, seeing themselves as essentially an extension of their customer’s marketing teams.

Maxime Heutz

Maxime joined Google in August 2012, where he started working with a wide variety of SMB’s. He then has been managing the largest Belgian customers within the Travel & Retail industry for a couple of years before transitioning to a Measurement & Attribution Lead role for Google in Belgium. Today he is working as Omnichannel Lead and he partners with leading retailers from Benelux & Nordics. Maxime has been investing a lot of his time in education initiatives. He holds a Master in Business Engineering from HEC Liège. Prior to Google, he worked at Microsoft and was managing director of a marketing consultancy company, HEC Consulting. Outside of work, he is a (marathon) runner, sports freak and fine gourmet. He is co-founder of Made & More, a Belgian sustainable fashion label.

Irfan Uyar

Irfan is a Product Manager and is responsible for the retailer experience within Shopping Ads. His goal is to empower businesses in the retail ecosystem to successfully achieve their marketing goals by providing amazing advertiser experiences. Prior to joining Google, he spent several years at Swisscom as Lead Product Manager for the omni channel experience for business customers. In 2015 Irfan helped set up siroop.ch as the first online marketplace in Switzerland and was mainly responsible for the merchant experience & platform.

Jérôme Paquot

Jerome Paquot is Head of Marketing at XLG. 2 years ago, he joinded XL Group, a group of 38 companies active in facility and maintenance in Belgium, employing more than 8,500 people. His mission was to merge these 38 companies into one brand (and one website): XLG. He is involved in all of XLG’s digital developments, which allows him to have a transversal impact on customer acquisition, cross-selling and recruitment. Specialized in service companies, Jerome was partner at Mister Genius (IT services stores) where he experimented with the tactical use of SEM tools including GMB. Convinced that PPC was going to change the world of marketing, he had his first Google Adwords training in 2009.

Hannah Thorpe

Hannah is Managing Director at London based digital marketing agency Verkeer, Hannah has over eight years of search experience having devised and managed a range of successful online campaigns for such large brands as Twinings, Le Creuset, And So To Bed, M&G and Elsevier.

Specialising in combining technical SEO tactics with clever content marketing delivery, Hannah is responsible for leading complex technical strategies through to creating innovative content campaigns that are underpinned by detailed search and audience data to drive positive ROI for her clients.

James Hankins

James is the Founder and Consulting Strategist at Vizer Consulting, a Strategy consultancy.  An experienced and highly effective strategic leader with a broad and deep set of experience across multiple categories and brands including some of the biggest in the world with proven commercial impact.

Experienced in engaging senior clients (C-suite) throughout marketing and beyond, running teams and projects over a 18+ year career.

James is a published writer and has been instrumental in the emergence of Share of Search as a practical metric, focussing on its applications and the insights that can be derived.  He has written for WARC, Marketing Week and Campaign magazine and was named as one of the “Change Makers” of the year 2020 by Marketing Week Magazine in the UK.

James believes in focussing on clear  commercial value for clients whatever the final execution/idea. The end goal is always incremental growth. He has advised on solutions ranging from M&A, Change Management, E-commerce, Brand, Marketing, Innovation, Operations and Fulfilment.

Brandon Ervin

Brandon leads the product management team responsible for Google’s query matching products, including keyword match types and Dynamic Search Ads (DSA). Prior to his current role, he was the product manager for keyword match types and prior to that a product manager for remarketing and similar audiences within Search Ads. Before joining Google in 2015, he spent several years at Deloitte Consulting, with a focus on technology. He holds an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Ohio State University.

Barry Adams

Barry Adams has building and ranking websites since 1998. Over the years he’s honed his skills in a wide range of businesses, from small agencies to Fortune 500 multinationals. In 2014 Barry founded SEO consultancy Polemic Digital, delivering specialised SEO services to clients such as the UK’s most-read newspapers The Sun and the Daily Mail and America’s most popular news channel Fox News. In addition to his consulting work, Barry lectures on SEO and digital marketing for several universities and travels the world to speak at digital conferences. He also serves as chief editor at award-winning European digital marketing blog State of Digital, and is on the judging panel for the annual European, US Search & Friends of Search Awards.
