FRIENDS OF SEARCH
The Friends of Search Awards give participants the unique opportunity to demonstrate their digital talent and skills to peers. The winners can count themselves among the best of the best of the international search industry and get to present their case at Friends of Search.
The winners will be selected in two categories: Best SEO and Best SEA (Pay-Per-Click). Entries will be judged by an independent panel of international search experts and speakers of previous or upcoming editions of Friends of Search.

During last year’s first-ever Friends of Search Awards, Europcar, Slimster.nl, SKODA, A-Z Barbecue & Gourmet Party Service, bol.com and Leen Bakker competed for the grand prize in the award categories Best Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Search Engine Advertising (SEA). Eventually, Slimster.nl and Leen Bakker came out as winners.
With a perfectly executed migration, in which traffic was not only retained but also increased, Slimster.nl came out as the winner. According to the jury, migrations such as these don’t occur often in the Netherlands. Automatic tagging and redirection of images were also executed very well and the fact that customers can talk with Slimster through Google Assistant, was a nice bonus.
Leen Bakker used a wide variety of Google Ads capabilities to replicate the experience a person would have in their store in their online ads. According to the jury, they did a great job translating customers’ in-store behavior into the digital world, by creating custom audiences and custom feed data, and using these to create a variety of super-targeted shopping campaigns.
